Paul Pogba sent Real Madrid transfer message by Sergio Ramos amid Manchester United speculation

Real Madrid captain Sergio Ramos has said the door will always be open for Paul Pogba to join the La Liga giants.

Zinedine Zidane was keen to take the World Cup winner to the Bernabeu this summer but Manchester United were adamant they would not sell and the France international stayed put.

Pogba himself has talked up Los Blancos and admitted during the close season it was a 'good time for a new challenge', while Zidane has waxed lyrical over the 26-year-old.

It seems unlikely the speculation will go away as Ramos said a move to Madrid will always be on the cards.

"I think Real Madrid always has the door open for good players such as him,” Ramos told The Express.

"For me, Pogba is one of the great players. He is different and he has shown his value at Juventus and now Manchester United.

“I think he brings balance to a team. He has a great offensive influence and he has this amazing physique.”

During the summer Pogba's agent Mino Raiola said he was in the process of negotiating a deal with Real Madrid and United to get the midfielder out of the club as 'everyone knew' his wishes to leave.

Pogba is currently sidelined with an injury he picked up in the draw against Southampton and had to withdraw from France duty to recover.

Solskjaer should be able to give an update on his availability on Friday in his press conference ahead of Saturday's meeting with Leicester at Old Trafford.
