Manchester United ace Andreas Pereira has told Paul Pogba he is one of the players who must lead by example this season.
Pereira, 23, recently penned a new contract at Old Trafford and is looking to kick-on to establish himself as a key part of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's plans.
The midfielder admits he will be looking up to more experienced team-mates for leadership - including Pogba, Ashley Young and Nemanja Matic.
Pogba has been keen to force a move away from Old Trafford with Real Madrid and Juventus keen but the Red Devils are set to hold out for a huge fee in a bid to keep him at the club.
Pereira told ManUtd.com : “We also have some experienced players like Ashley Young, Nemanja, Paul as well, so it is very important we have all of the boys so they can show us, lead by example and we can follow them.”
Pereira also gave an insight into Manchester United's dressing room atmosphere during their pre-season tour of Australia.
A clip shared at the start of the week appeared to show a spat between Pogba and team-mate Jesse Lingard before a longer clip gave more context to the events.
Pereira says they have a "great team spirit" as new signings Daniel James and Aaron Wan-Bissaka slot into their dressing room environment.
He stated: “We have a great team spirit, everyone gets along very well. We have a lot of young players and I think it is good.
"We have a lot of energy and people who want to work, to get better every day."
