Paul Pogba says 'everybody is learning' from Edinson Cavani as he hails striker's impact

Paul Pogba has praised Edinson Cavani for helping the Manchester United squad through his experience.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer was desperate to bolster his firepower in the summer transfer window with a veteran striker.

And he got one of the best around in the shape of Cavani - who had been released by Paris Saint-Germain.

The Red Devils snapped up the Uruguay international on deadline day and handed him the iconic No. 7 shirt.

The 33-year-old has hardly been rattling in goals after netting just four in 13 Premier Leauge appearances.

But the ex-Napoli hitman has been-there-done-that throughout his career and has given younger players like Mason Greenwood and Marcus Rashford great tips as a striker.

And he has been hailed by Pogba for his impact on the pitch as well as in training.

When asked what Cavani brings to the team, the France international said: "Experience.

"Showed that someone like him in training in the game just showed the hard work and he’s 33-years-old he’s been winning playing well, top class player and he’s here working hard.

"He’s good for the young players to see that, to see the guy here who’s done so much and he works so hard.

"He gives this positive energy, the mindset of hard work and the experience, its been great to have him.

"Everyone is learning from him, from the oldest guy to the youngest.

"When I see him and even if he’s speaking in Spanish, just the energy that he brings to the team."

One of the youngsters agreed with Pogba after Greenwood admitted he has done wonders for his development.

"He's a top striker, you can tell the second he came here," the 19-year-old said.

"The stuff he does, the way he dresses himself, the way he trains, the way he does everything right as a footballer, really.

"He reminds me a lot of Juan [Mata] who's here as well, and Nemanja [Matic] - two great professional players.

"It's always good to have them in your team, as a young lad, to look up to."
