United look for Pogba replacement
Mundo Deportivo has reported that Manchester United have now set their eyes on a possible replacement for Paul Pogba - should he leave the club. AC Milan’s Franck Kessie could be an option if Pogba, whose contract at United ends in 2022, exits Old Trafford.
24-year-old Kessie has also been previously linked to Chelsea and Tottenham. The midfielder has been great in front of goal, netting 14 goals and picking up 6 assists for the club.
Catalan giants Barcelona are also interested in Kessie or Pogba, with Paris Saint-Germain keen to acquire both players - a move which could leave United losing out on a player and potential target.
Spurs midfielder on the radar
United are reportedly looking at a move for Spurs, Tanguy Ndombele, according to Calciomercato . The player has had a tough start at Tottenham after his £53.8million move to the club in 2019.
This interest is also in the same vein as United's connection with Kessie - to protect themselves in the event that Frenchman Pogba leaves the club.
With issues in United's defence in recent seasons and Fred’s patchy performances at the club - Ndombele could be the answer in a defensive midfield position.
No Juve return for Pogba
Juventus are not planning to bring Paul Pogba back to the club, where he spent four seasons - this is per Tuttomercatoweb . They've reported that at the age of 29 and looking at getting his last ‘major contract’ of his career Pogba won't be on Juve's transfer list - as the Turin club is looking to invest in younger talent.
This comes after the player’s agent told Rai Sport: “Paul Pogba is out of contract in June, so we’ll talk with Man Utd and we’ll see what happens. Juventus? Paul still loves Turin. There’s a chance that Pogba will return to Juventus, yes - but it also depends on Juventus plans.”
