Paul Pogba's brother asked about Manchester United to Real Madrid transfer speculation

Mathias Pogba believes his brother Paul would be a great addition for Real Madrid, amid suggestions the Manchester United star could move to the Santiago Bernabeu.

Pogba's elder brother has recently completed a move to CD Manchego Ciudad Real, who play in Spain's Tercera División (fourth tier) and are based not far from the Spanish capital Madrid.

And amid speculation that the United midfield star could soon be joining him in Spain - although MEN Sport understands United will reject approaches for Pogba and believe he will remain at Old Trafford - Mathias was a little coy.

"It's all just rumours at present and there's nothing I can do about that," he said in an interview with Spanish media outlet AS.

When Mathias was asked whether his move to the Spanish system was a hint that United's Pogba would follow suit, he added: "I'm in Spain because I want to be and it has nothing to do with the possibility of my younger brother securing a move.

"We're relaxed about. If Paul moves to Madrid or not... so be it."

Mathias was also asked about Real Madrid's recent 7-3 pre-season defeat to rivals Atletico and whether it could prompt Zinedine Zidane's side to accelerate a move for Pogba.

"I didn't see the game but am aware of the outcome," he said. "I feel my brother could assist with any team, if he comes to Madrid, then it will be to help the team.

"I always want what is best for him. If he feels Real Madrid is the best club for him, then he'll come."
