Paul Pogba ready to stay at Man Utd on one condition amid Real Madrid interest

Paul Pogba is ready to stay at Manchester United – for now.

But first, the French World Cup winner wants pay parity with Alexis Sanchez on a massive £460,000-a-week.

United are keen to keep their prized asset away from Real Madrid's clutches as the Spanish giants begin a massive squad re-build this summer.

And that has played into Pogba's hands with United prepared to discuss a new deal with his agent Mino Raiola .

The 26-year-old Frenchman, United's record buy at £89million, is now valued by United at a staggering £160million.

But that won't deter Madrid who know they have to spend big to re-shape a squad lacking a stellar player after Cristiano Ronaldo's switch to Juventus last summer.

Pogba is flattered by the interest but has told close pals in Manchester he's happy to stay with United having an additional one year option on his contract which has two more years to run.

That's good news for United, who still see the erratic midfielder as key to their future as Ole Gunnar Solskjaer prepares to freshen his squad for a title bid next season.

Pogba, though, is said to be furious at the attack on him by former boss Jose Mourinho , who called the midfielder 'His Excellency' in a TV interview.

Mourinho revealed how Pogba had asked to travel back from a game in his Rolls Royce driven by minder Abs L'Galsen.

The United boss refused and claimed he'd have been “sent on vacation” if he'd gone to war with Pogba.

It's believed Pogba was enraged by the remarks – and is considering defending himself with his own take on Mourinho's time at United.

Meanwhile, United are still confident David de Gea will sign a new contract even though a deal has yet to be struck – and his Spanish pals are set to leave Old Trafford.

De Gea has a close bond with PSG target Ander Herrera and Juan Mata who are both out of contract and could leave.

United know De Gea is valued around £100million on the transfer market and are desperate to stop the 28-year-old star entering the final year of his agreement with his future still uncertain.

But De Gea is holding firm and has told United this will be the biggest contract he'll ever sign – and he wants his status as the world's number one rewarded with a deal thought to exceed £400,000-a-week.
