Paul Pogba ready to 'go on strike' to force through Man Utd transfer exit

Paul Pogba is determined to secured a switch to Real Madrid this summer - and is even considering going on strike to force it through.

That's according to Spanish outlet ABC, who claim the midfielder is ready to hand in a transfer request at Old Trafford.

If that fails, he will reportedly threaten to go on strike and refuse to report for pre-season training in order to make sure he gets his dream move to work under Zinedine Zidane at the Bernabeu.

Pogba had an underwhelming season for the Red Devils, but they still want a huge fee of around £160m in order to part with their midfield superstar.

Pogba reportedly has his heart set on a move to the Spanish capital, which he previously said would be a "dream" whilst on international duty earlier this year.

Juventus have been keen to bring him back to Serie A but Pogba is determined to test himself in La Liga if he departs United.

His agent, Mino Raiola, would stand to make close to £20m from the transfer and he is desperate to push through the deal.

But Real Madrid , already facing a need to fund their spending with sales to avoid falling foul of Uefa's Financial Fair Play restrictions, don't want to pay as much as the Red Devils are demanding.

It is believed they are looking to spend no more than £111m plus add-ons to bring the World Cup winner to the Bernabeu.

They have already secured the big-money signing of Eden Hazard but want more marquee additions to be at the forefront of their revival following a miserable campaign.

United, meanwhile, have identified Youri Tielemans as a possible replacement for Pogba and want to land the midfielder before he agrees a deal to make his Leicester City switch permanent.
