Paul Pogba has been praised for his recent Manchester United performances despite question marks over his future at Old Trafford.
Pogba's future was once again plunged into uncertainty by agent Mino Raiola in December when he said the midfielder's time at United was over and talked up a potential return to Juventus.
Yet, since then, the midfielder has produced a string of strong performances and played his way back into Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's starting XI.
The Frenchman played the full 90 minutes of the Reds' 2-1 win over Aston Villa on Friday evening and put in a strong performance, winning a penalty that Bruno Fernandes converted for the decisive goal.
Speaking on Match of the Day, Premier League legend Ian Wright said he has been impressed with how Pogba has managed to put speculation over his future to one side and praised his performance against Villa.
He said: “With all the stuff that has happened with him, he is getting it right on the pitch. He has put it all to one side and, to be honest, he is putting in some good performances.
“He was everywhere. He was in his own box and then up there in the other box - he was doing everything. This is what he can do.
“We're going to clear the penalty up now. Dean Smith wasn’t happy with this, but he was clipped, and we can see it here. He is clipped right there, but does clip his own foot. However, in the current climate, that is a penalty.
“If you give him this much time when you have got willing runners like Marcus Rashford… that is just fantastic. It was brilliant play from him.”
