Paul Pogba plunges Manchester United future into doubt with fresh transfer comments

Paul Pogba has plunged his Manchester United into further doubt by admitting it could be a good time to 'have a new challenge somewhere else'.

The World Cup winning midfielder continues to be linked with a potential move away from Old Trafford as speculation circulates his future at the club.

Despite being named in the PFA Premier League team of the year last season it was another mixed campaign from the 26-year-old who has struggled for consistency following his then-world record move from Juventus three summers ago.

Pogba was involved in a number of heated altercations with former manger Jose Mourinho and although he returned to form under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer his performances tailed off towards the end of last season.

Real Madrid have long been linked with a move for the France international, and he now admits he could seek a new opportunity in the summer transfer window.

“Like you said, there is a lot of talking and a lot of thinking as well,” Pogba told reporters. “For me I have been for three years in Manchester and have been doing great; some good moments and some bad moments, like everybody. Like everywhere else.

“After this season and everything that happened this season, with my season being my best season as well ... I think for me it could be a good time to have a new challenge somewhere else. I am thinking of this: to have a new challenge somewhere else.”
