Paul Pogba has hailed Ole Gunnar Solskjaer for bringing an offensive approach back to Manchester United after a third win on the bounce under the caretaker manager.

Pogba played a starring role as United eased to a 4-1 win over Bournemouth on Sunday, scoring twice and laying on the assist for another.

A familiar swagger has returned to United’s play under the Norwegian with Pogba believing the manager’s preferred style has been key to unlocking the potential within the team.

“We are Manchester United and we need to be at the top of the league,” Pogba told Sky Sports when asked what has changed under Solskjaer.

“It is just a reaction of all of the players and everyone is enjoying themselves.

“It is different, we still won games with the old manager but it is just a different style of playing, we are more offensive and we are creating more chances and that is how we want to play.

“We needed the win and we had a great performance as well. We are coming back and there is still a long way to go, but to finish the year like that is beautiful.”

Marcus Rashford and Romelu Lukaku were also on the score sheet as United moved to within three points of fifth place Arsenal.
