Paul Pogba on crutches as Manchester United star confirms France training injury

Manchester United's Paul Pogba is on crutches after he sustained a thigh injury on international duty with France.

Pogba sustained the injury in a training session on Monday evening and footage of the incident soon emerged. The 28-year-old was seen leaving the session with team doctor Franck Le Gall after appearing to pull up in pain after taking a shot at goal.

It was subsequently announced on Tuesday that Pogba had withdrawn from the France squad for the World Cup Qualifiers.

" Paul Pogba is forced to withdraw from France's next two games at the Parc des Princes against Kazakhstan and against Finland in Helsinki," a statement from the French football federation read.

Pogba has now shared a video online discussing the injury and he seemed optimistic despite being on crutches in the clip.

"As you can see, I got a little injured. Hopefully it's not too bad," Pogba said.

"I'm going to probably do a scan in those days to see how bad it is and yeah, we're here [points at crutches].

"But we're going to come back strong. You don't lose faith, the positive vibe. Keep smiling. Everything happens for a reason, we're blessed still and I'm going to come back. Thanks for the support, all love, God bless you all and I'm going to be back spoon."

It has been estimated elsewhere that Pogba could be out for up to two months.
