Paul Pogba has named the two players he believes are the best finishers at Manchester United.
In a fan Q&A in Manchester United's matchday programme, Pogba was asked who the best finisher was besides Luke Shaw in reference to a claim made by Ole Gunnar Solskjaer that the left-back was the one of the best finishers in training at United.
After jokingly referencing United captain Harry Maguire, Pogba named two players he has been impressed by, with Mason Greenwood's finishing ability with his feet gaining praise alongside Edinson Cavani's prowess with his head.
"Besides Shaw? I would like to say Maguire," he joked.
"The best finisher, I think it’s Mason. Yeah, Mason, I would say. And Edi. Yeah, Mason with the feet and Edi with his head."
Pogba was also asked who the toughest opponent he has faced has been and he was able to narrow it down to two particular players.
He said: "My toughest opponent on the pitch? To be honest, it’s tough against N’Golo Kante. Casemiro too, he is a hard one also.
"I can’t remember all of them; they’re the first ones that come into mind, that I had.
"Yes, those are the first ones, maybe there are a few more players but I don’t have the names now."
In another choice between two, Pogba was asked who was better between Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo.
The 28-year-old gave a diplomatic answer and said that both players bring him joy.
He said: "It’s a nice but tricky question, as there is no best for me. Two different players.
"They are two players who both bring joy to watch. Any people are going to have their own opinion of them, just two legends.
"Me, I would just say they are two legends and not one is better than the other one. Just two people that give us football players, or football lovers, joy to watch."
