Paul Pogba looking to end unwanted record for Manchester United against Everton

Paul Pogba will be hoping to end an unwanted recent record when Manchester United face Everton in the Premier League this weekend.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side return to action on Saturday lunchtime when they host The Toffees at Old Trafford and know a positive result is needed after defeat to Aston Villa a week ago.

United responded with a dramatic European win over Villarreal in midweek but will be keen to keep up the pace in the Premier League after tasting their first loss of the campaign last time out.

In order to secure the three points United will need to be at their best against Rafa Benitez's side and the performance of midfield maestro Pogba could be crucial to their chances.

The Frenchman has provided seven assists so far this term, more than double that of any other player, but the same can't be said about his own threat at goal.

Pogba currently boasts the unwanted record of having had more shots without scoring than any other player in the Premier League this season, failing to find the back of the net from any of his 15 attempts.

His creativity in midfield more than makes up for his lack of goals so far but Pogba will be itching to net his first goal of the new campaign to get the ball rolling.

Everton beware.
