Paul Pogba latest as Manchester United receive triple injury update ahead of Liverpool

Paul Pogba is primed to line up against Liverpool after Manchester United received a triple injury boost ahead of Sunday's titanic showdown.

Jurgen Klopp's European champions are aiming for a record-equalling 18th successive Premier League win when they visit their bitter North West rivals.

While Liverpool are eight points clear at the top of the table after a 100% start from the opening eight games, United are languishing in 12th place a massive 15 points adrift of the Reds.

Beleaguered boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has had to contend with a raft of injuries in recent weeks.

However, it appears the United manager may now welcome back a host of senior players when Liverpool make the short journey down the other end of the East Lancs Road.

The Mirror have reported that Pogba, who has missed five of United's last seven games with an ongoing ankle problem, is expected to return to action after spending part of the international break working on his recuperation in Dubai.

The France international is likely to be joined by right-back Aaron Wan-Bissaka, who sat out three games with tonsillitis, and left-back Luke Shaw, out since August 24.

United are also hopeful Anthony Martial, also missing for the last seven weeks, will be available for consideration.
