Paul Pogba injury: Manchester United midfielder thigh problem to be assessed after Everton draw

Paul Pogba will be assessed after suffering a thigh injury during the first half of Manchester United's late 3-3 draw with Everton.

Pogba was forced off in the 39th minute and replaced by Fred after pulling up with the problem while United were leading 1-0 through Edinson Cavani's opening goal.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side face West Ham at Old Trafford in the FA Cup fifth round on Tuesday night and faces a

"It seems like a muscle injury, his thigh," he said.

"We'll check him tomorrow, see how bad it is. We hope it's not too bad. He couldn't carry on, we had to take him off."

United threw the lead away twice in a 3-3 draw against Everton, conceding a 95th-minute equaliser to Dominic Calvert-Lewin.

Edinson Cavani and Bruno Fernandes goal had given United a two-goal cushion but a second-half collapse led to two dropped points.

Solskjaer was nevertheless happy with United's display after the break and bemoaned his side's luck in conceding every opportunity they gave up.

“Second half, we played some good football but we concede three goals from three shots on target,” the United manager said.

“When you have three shots between the posts and you concede three goals that’s disappointing of course because we played some very good stuff.”
