Paul Pogba in withering Graeme Souness putdown as Manchester United star finally digs back at Rangers legend

It's perhaps an exaggeration to call it a feud when only one party ever had anything to say.

But now, despite becoming central to one of football's longest current running jokes, Paul Pogba has finally acknowledged Graeme Souness.

Much has been made of the Sky Sports pundit's apparent disdain for the Manchester United midfielder, last seen claiming Pogba would be a "doddle to play against".

The question was put to the Frenchman on the latest official Manchester United podcast and his reply basically amounted to: "Who?"

Souness was a legendary figure at Liverpool and went on to become an icon at Rangers as both player and manager.

But Pogba insists he's none the wiser.

"I didn't even know who he was, really," the 27-year-old said.

"I didn't even know who he was. I heard he was a great player and stuff like that. I know the face but [not] the name.

"Like I said I'm not someone that watches a lot of (punditry), I watch a lot of football but I don't stay after the game to listen to what they say about 'Why they did this' or 'Why they did that'. I like to focus on football."
