Paul Pogba 'heading for Man Utd exit after heart-to-heart with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer'

Paul Pogba and Ole Gunnar Solskjaer have held productive talks regarding his substitute role on Tuesday night as he nears the exit door.

Manchester United were dumped out of the Champions League by RB Leipzig as they lost 3-2 in Germany.

But the build up to the crunch clash was dominated by Pogba's future after his agent Mino Raiola came out and declared his time at Old Trafford "over".

It came as no surprise then that the midfielder was named on the bench at the Red Bull Arena.

He was introduced on the hour mark with United in need of a desperate recovery mission.

The Red Devils looked down and out at 3-0 but Pogba helped mount a comeback that almost saw them through before it ended 3-2.

He headed home United's second, which then raised question marks over Solskjaer's decision to leave him out from the start.

But the pair, despite the ongoing speculation, have a professional relationship and have had a frank conversation about the reasons behind his omission, reports the Daily Mail.

Juventus are thought to be leading the chase for the World Cup winner's signature.

Pogba left Manchester for Turin back in 2012 before blossoming into a player that cost United £89m back in 2016.

The 27-year-old has a contract until 2022 which gives United several transfer window in which to sell him.

Raiola revealed in his conversation with Tuttosport that a switch back to Italy would be ideal.

"Maybe Juventus could be his next destination. Why not?" he said.

"Among other things, the relationship with the club and with his former team-mates is excellent.

"At the time of Covid, not many teams can afford to buy Paul. The important thing is to want it (a deal for Pogba)."

After the Leipzig defeat Solskjaer refused to discuss the future of his player.
