Paul Pogba hands injury boost to beleaguered Man Utd boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer

Paul Pogba has given embattled Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer an injury boost by stepping up his return from injury in an Instagram post.

The World Cup winner has battled with an ankle injury since the end of August and though he played the full 90 minutes in a 1-1 draw at Arsenal in the Premier League last Monday, the midfielder has missed United's last two matches.

Without the former Juventus man, the Old Trafford club laboured to a goalless draw at AZ Alkmaar in the UEFA Europa League .

They were then left stunned by Matty Longstaff's long-range effort in a 1-0 loss at Newcastle in the league.

Such are Pogba's current injury issues, the 26-year-old has been left out of the France squad for their Euro 2020 qualifiers against Iceland and Turkey later this month.

The midfielder, though, is expected to be back playing for United after the international break and could make his return in a crucial game at table toppers Liverpool on October 18.

And judging by his latest post on Instagram, it appears Pogba's recovery is going well.

The United star uploaded a 20-second clip of him working out on an exercise bike on a rooftop in Dubai and captioned it: 'They say hard work pay (sic) off what about hard work in the heat ? Let’s see. Loving the view though...Allah always in control.'

The post certainly seemed to draw a positive response online, with one user commenting: "We need u (sic) badly."

Another, meanwhile, added: "Comeback (sic) stronger brother."

United could certainly do with Pogba coming back stronger to help lift Solskjaer's men after a poor start to the new season.

Following the defeat at Newcastle on Sunday, the Premier League giants sit just two points clear of the bottom four in 12th after eight games.

And with a trip to fierce rivals Liverpool to come after the international break, things certainly won't get any easier for the Old Trafford.
