Paul Pogba gives update on Manchester United return following injury

Paul Pogba said he hopes to be back soon when asked about his Manchester United return while out walking his dog on Monday afternoon.

The midfielder has not played for United since the draw against Arsenal at Old Trafford at the end of September and has only made six appearances all season, having suffered an ankle injury in the draw at Southampton on August 31.

The France international has posted regular injury updates on his social media channels in the past few weeks after he had his cast removed last month, but despite being able to move freely Solskjaer insists the 26-year-old still isn't match fit.

"No, it's too early yet," Solskjaer said about Pogba ahead of the Premier League game against Tottenham last week. "We hope [he will be back before the end of the year], he's working hard to get fit so hopefully we can get him back on the pitch."

But the midfielder has given hope that he should be back playing soon as he responded to a photographer's question on his fitness with: "soon."

The 26-year-old was spotted out in Cheshire in his club tracksuit walking his dog, having returned from France where he spent the weekend with his family celebrating the wedding of his brother Florentin.

Solskjaer has said Pogba will play again before the end of the year but refuses to put a timeline on the Frenchman's recovery.
