Paul Pogba drops Manchester United transfer bombshell as midfielder confirms he wants out

Paul Pogba has confirmed he wants to leave Manchester United this summer.

The midfielder has been strongly linked with a move to Real Madrid and he reckons now is the time to move on after three years at Old Trafford.

Pogba returned to United in a £89million deal in the summer of 2016 but has never been able to fully win over his doubters during his second spell with the Premier League giants.  He endured a complicated relationship with former boss Jose Mourinho.

And now the World Cup winner has opened up on why now is the perfect time to leave the club, as he spoke to media during a promotional event in Tokyo.

He said: "There is a lot of talking and a lot of thinking as well.

"For me I have been for three years in Manchester and have been doing great; some good moments and some bad moments, like everybody. Like everywhere else.

"After this season and everything that happened this season, with my season being my best season as well... I think for me it could be a good time to have a new challenge somewhere else."

"I am thinking of this, to have a new challenge somewhere else."

Reports emerged from Spain on Sunday that Pogba is is willing to go and strike to seal a move to the Bernabeu this summer as he eyes joining forces with compatriot Zinedine Zidane.
