Paul Pogba was adamant that Harry Maguire's disallowed goal for Manchester United against Burnley should have stood as he questioned a host of decisions during the game at Turf Moor.
Pogba scored the only goal of the game as United battled to a hard-fought victory, putting them three points clear at the top of the Premier League.
It was far from an easy night for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side but it might have been more straightforward if Maguire's first-half header hadn't been chalked off by referee Kevin Friend. Maguire was adjudged to have fouled Burnley's Erik Pieters as he nodded in from the back post and Pogba told Sky Sports that the decision was unfair.
"It's hard but you have to be professional," said Pogba when asked if VAR proved unsettling to the United players, who were visibly incensed with the decision.
"We know as well that it wasn't going to be easy and with the decisions of the referee as well. In my opinion, I did not agree, but I'm not the boss on the pitch. he's the boss. We had to keep calm and focussed and we did this, we did well. We scored a goal and won the game.

"It was a goal for sure. He [Maguire] jumped before, he headed it, it was a beautiful goal. Then the referee decides that... it was kind of strange. Strange decisions today. But we gotthe goal so we're happy."
United boss Solskjaer concurred with Pogba, telling Sky Sports: "Definitely not a foul from Harry on his goal. If you can't jump and head like this... I don't believe it's anywhere near a foul."
United gathered their focus after half-time and scored through Pogba, whose volley was deflected into the Clarets' goal to secure a vital 1-0 win. They are three points clear of Liverpool and face the Anfield club on Merseyside this weekend.
