Paul Pogba and the Paris Saint-Germain transfer appeal as powerful ally pushes for move - latest rumours

A penny for Paul Pogba 's thoughts.

The midfielder loves nothing more than to showcase his dance moves but has been left twiddling his thumbs on the sidelines as he plots an escape route from Manchester United .

The World Cup winner has made no secret of his desire to exit Old Trafford this summer but potential box-office moves to Real Madrid and Juventus have yet to materialise.

Pogba has an admirer in Madrid boss Zinedine Zidane but a deal is nowhere near to being agreed.

But has a new option presented itself?

Few people in world football carry the clout of Noël Le Graët. People listen when the French Football Federation chief speaks.

The supremo is most definitely team Pogba after the midfielder delivered Les Bleus their glory day in Moscow last summer.

And he would like to see the mercurial midfielder and Barcelona target Antoine Griezmann return to their homeland during their club careers.

Le Graët, who was a guest on L'Equipe TV on Thursday, is in no doubt who Paris Saint-Germain should target this summer.

And has called for the Ligue 1 big spenders to splash the cash on a player who would be very good for business.

He said: "It's Pogba. He is a huge player. It would please the public a lot."

And he added: "Griezmann, why he would not come to PSG? He could have the same salary that Barcelona are offering."

Talking heads have been airing their opinion on Pogba all summer but people stand up and listen when one of the game's key decision makers shares his views.

And what an interesting time to do so.
