Paul Pogba and Jesse Lingard clash during Man United pre-season training in boost for Spurs

Manchester United early pre-season plans have been overshadowed with reports that Paul Pogba wants to leave the club amid interest from Real Madrid.

Pogba's agent Mino Raiola revealed last month that the 26-year-old is looking to force his way out of Old Trafford following their failure to land Champions League football

The midfielder is one of the several options for Madrid this summer along with Tottenham Hotspur star Christian Eriksen.

Eriksen is entering the final 12 months of his contract at Spurs and he publicity admitted his desire to leave to “try something new” this summer.

However Madrid are unlikely to sign both Pogba and Eriksen with Spurs fans hoping that Pogba succeeds in forcing his move.

The latest from the United camp suggest that not all is well with Pogba's future looking uncertain.

The French international has travelled on United's pre-season trip to Australia but controversy may have already struck.

The Mirror reports that Pogba appeared to clash with team-mate Jesse Lingard as the club enjoyed a walk on their first day in Peth.

In a clip shared by Manchester United's official Twitter account, Pogba seemed to be pulled away from Lingard by defender Victor Lindelof.

Lingard looked far from happy as Pogba seemed to take a step towards. The defender put an arm around Pogba and got between the pair before the footage moved on.

Fans have now suggested that there was nearly a confrontation between the two players.

Pogba seemed to suggest a move away from Manchester United was possible last month, saying: “There is a lot of thinking [going on].

“I have been three years in Manchester and have been doing great – some good moments and some bad moments, like everybody, like everywhere else.

“After this season and everything that happened, with my season being my best season … it could be a good time to have a new challenge somewhere else.”

Spurs will be hoping that the latest developments speeds up Pogba's move to Real Madrid instead of Eriksen.
