Paul Pogba accuses his Man Utd team-mates of "cheating" before turnaround in form

Paul Pogba has accused his Manchester United team-mates of "cheating" before their recent turnaround in form.

The Red Devils were on a shocking run of form earlier in the season, which culminated in them being thumped 6-1 by Jose Mourinho's Tottenham.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer was in real danger of being sacked, but United turned a corner under the Norwegian, and they are now enjoying a sensational run of form.

After 19 matches played the Red Devils are second in the Premier League, just one point behind Manchester City, and are genuine title contenders.

Speaking to Rio Ferdinand on BT Sport, Pogba explained the Man United team were "cheating" the club before their recent turnaround.

"The mentality, playing more as a team," Pogba said.

"Playing much better altogether, pressing much better together. No one is cheating. When I mean cheating - no one is running less or not making the effort to come back.'

When asked if players showing a lack of effort is a major issue at United, Pogba replied: "It's always been a problem. When you're all together it's always going to be easier.

"If someone is making less effort, it's going to be a little problem for the team. When you're all together, you all work hard, you see the result."

On his current contract situation, Pogba added: "I am on contract, I am here, I am enjoying myself. Everybody knows that I have one year left, I'm going to speak with the club and see what's going on.

"For now, my objective, my goal is to win something. That's all I'm thinking about is to win."
