Paul Pierce thinks Boston has the ‘talent to compete’ in the East, but needs health and reps to do it

The Boston Celtics have struggled early in the 2021-22 NBA season, and Hall of Fame Celtics champion Paul Pierce has a few ideas about what might be ailing the team he played for over the course of 15 seasons, by far the majority of his career in the league.

The Truth was making an appearance on the Sports Illustrated “Crossover” podcast hosted by Chris Mannix and Howard Beck, speaking with the former about a number of pertinent issues in the Association of today when the topic of Boston’s rough start came up in conversation. Asked what he thought the issue with the Celtics is to start the season, Pierce did not hold back.

“Well, I think a number of things,” began the Inglewood native.
