Paul O’Grady shares his dog Boycie has died with heartbreaking final picture

Paul O’Grady revealed his dog Boycie has died with a sad final snap.

The comedian broke the news via his radio producer Malcolm Prince on Twitter on Wednesday.

In the accompanying sweet picture, Paul could be seen cuddling his fluffy little Shih Tzu on the bed.

The television presenter, 64, could be seen looking at his dog with the absolute adoration in the snap.

They were cuddled up on a patterned quilt while Paul documented the heartwarming moment with a selfie.

Malcolm shared his famous friend's heartbreaking message about his dog's death.

He wrote: "A message from Paul... Sadly, he had to say goodbye to Boycie today.

Paul had been enjoying the company of Boycie as the UK went into lockdown amid the coronavirus pandemic.

Aside from his high-flying television career, Paul has always had a soft spot for animals and in particular dogs (Twitter)

He has previously talked about the heartache of losing a pet.

The comedian opened up about his struggle with grieving after his dog Bullseye died in February last year.

He said on Radio 2: "I can't handle it, it's what I always say - invite an animal into your life, inevitably you invite heartache."

Aside from his high-flying television career, Paul has always had a soft spot for animals and in particular dogs.
