Paul O'Grady feared he'd be killed when 'feral' cow attacked him

Paul O'Grady feared he'd die when he was attacked by a "feral" cow that gave him a black eye.

The TV legend says he was filling up a water trough when his pet bovine Dot jumped him from behind and knocked his glasses off.

The 64-year-old, who has his own farm, revealed that Dot was "tame" when he first got her, but that she's since "turned feral" and left him fearing for his life when she pounced.

He said: "There was that business when I was filling the water trough.

"She sort of jumped me from behind, knocked my glasses off [and left me with a] black eye.

"I thought I'd had it, I really did."

The For The Love Of Dogs host has had trouble with Dot before.

She once burgled his house in Adlington, Kent, while he was sitting on the toilet.

Paul said he heard his dogs barking and rushed downstairs to see what was going on, only to find the cow with her head in the fridge.

She then peed all over the floor before Paul managed to lure her back outside with a piece of parsley.

He's a huge animal lover (ITV)

Paul's worried the problem is that the cow has been given too much freedom.

He said: "She was quite tame when I got her, but she went a bit feral - I think I'd given her too much of a free rein."
