Months after sorta,kinda confirming their relationship, Paul Mescal and Gracie Abrams have sorta,kinda delivered their hard launch, at the 2025 Cannes Film Festival no less!
The impossibly attractive pair, who’ve been romantically linked since last August, both attended the starry film event for the premiere of Mescal’s latest film, The History of Sound.
But for those already lusting after pics of their red carpet debut, I come bearing bad news.
While Mescal walked the carpet with co-stars Alison Bartlett and Raphael Sbarge, Abrams (tragically) arrived separately, meaning all us shippers will have to go without a life-sized, print-out poster of the pair… at least for now.
Despite their separate entrances, there’s no doubt the “That’s So True” singer was at Cannes to support her new boo (talk about the ultimate date night).
It’s simply the latest in a string of almost-hard launches the pair have delivered us.
After being snapped hand-in-hand in London last year, Mescal was spotted supporting Abrams as the opener of Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour at multiple concerts throughout 2024.
More recently, the couple both appeared at the Los Angeles premiere of Gladiator II in November, but in a frustrating trend, they again arrived separately (just give us the pic already!).
Kudos are in order for Abrams, whose ability to keep a physical distance from Mescal and his impossibly short shorts is worthy of some kind of award.
It’s especially impressive given the attention Mescal’s previous relationships have drawn.
The Aftersun star famously dated musician Phoebe Bridgers back in 2021, and has long been linked to Daisy Edgar Jones by legions of ever-hopeful Normal People fans.
Now with Abrams (almost) by his side, Mescal has assembled a romantic roster that has my inner-2012 Tumblr girl squealing.
All he needs is Suki Waterhouse and the pixie dream girl final boss will be secured. Watch out, Robert Pattinson!
Between Paul Mescal and Gracie Abrams’ inevitable red carpet debut and the inevitably swoon-worthy The Beatles biopic posters, I’m gonna run out of wall space.
