Paul Mescal and Phoebe Bridgers cosy up in first couple red carpet debut

It looks like Paul Mescal and Phoebe Bridgers are officially confirming they are a couple.

The Irish actor, 25, who became a household name after starring as Connell Waldron in the TV adaptation of Normal People, has been linked to the American singer since last summer.

They added fuel to the fire when they were spotted at a cafe in Kinsale, Co Cork after exchanging some flirty messages on social media.

The pair have since been spotted at various different locations, but have yet to officially confirm their relationship after Paul admitted he wanted to keep the identity of his partner private.

But the Kildare born actor and the 27-year-old singer seemed to have changed their minds since, as they were spotted cosied up on the red carpet while arriving at the 2021 LACMA Art + Film Gala presented by Gucci on Saturday night (November 6) at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art in Los Angeles.

Dressed in Gucci, Phoebe looked cool in a red plaid skirt paired with a cream-colored, lace blouse while Paul sported a black velvet tux.

The Maynooth man also posed alongside Hollowood stars Maggie Gyllenhaal and Dakota Johnson, whom he worked with on his debut feature film, The Lost Daughter.

It comes after the rumoured couple attended a star-studded Halloween party together.

The rumoured couple looked cosy as they posed for some photos at a Halloween party hosted by whiskey brand Johnnie Walker.

The snaps, which were uploaded to Instagram by comedian and comic writer Ziwe, also featured singer-songwriter Lucy Dacus, Brooklyn-based performer Jen Goma, and Phoebe’s younger brother Jackson Bridgers.

The actor previously showered his secret girlfriend with praise while chatting to GQ magazine.

The smitten star dubbed his partner "a lifesaver" and credited her for being there for him when his life was flipped upside down following his newfound fame.

The Irish native told the publication: "To have someone to lean on through such a mad, mad time has been invaluable. Really, I don’t know where I’d be without her.”
