Paul Mescal and Daisy Edgar Jones delight fans with Normal People unseen bloopers

Paul Mescal and his co-star Daisy Edgar Jones have been reminiscing about Normal People as they celebrated one year since they finished filming the hit show.

The actors both catapulted to worldwide fame after the hit RTE, BBC and Hulu series earlier this year - captivating fans from Kildare to the Kardashians with their portrayal of Marianne and Connell’s love story.

Marking one-year since they wrapped the hit series, set in Sligo and directed by Irish Oscar nominated director Lenny Abrahamson, the pair delighted fans by sharing some never before seen bloopers on Instagram.

Maynooth man turned global superstar, Paul Mescal, 24, said: “I miss this a lot!

“Thank you all so much for your amazing support for our show.

“Daisy Edgar Jones you are the best. End of.”

Meanwhile, Londoner Daisy, 22, said: “Normal People. I can’t actually believe it is around a year ago today that we wrapped on NP, and what a year it has been.

“Thank you to all the lovely fans of our show, your support means so much to us,” Daisy added.

“Thank you to everyone who made this series what it was and for giving me the most wonderful memories and my best friends.

“Thank you to Paul Mescal for amusing me so much with your Christmas jumper and for being such a brilliant acting partner.”

It comes as the talented pair have been listed as part of the Screen’s Stars of Tomorrow 2020.

Paul said: “It is an incredible honour and I’m in amazing company! Massive congratulations to everyone who was included.

Daisy, who was also named, added: “I feel so proud to be included in this list with such an amazing group of people.”
