Sky Sports pundit Paul Merson has insisted that Brendan Rodgers would leave Leicester City to join Arsenal as they are a much bigger club.
The former Arsenal midfielder was quizzed about why Rodgers should leave Leicester for the Gunners, with six points separating the two teams ahead of Saturday's meeting at the King Power Stadium.
A win for the hosts would move them third in the table and nine points clear of Arsenal in the race for Champions League football.
With the pressure piling on Unai Emery at the Emirates, many feel a defeat to Leicester on Saturday could spell the end of his time at the club.
Rodgers remains the fans' overwhelming favourite to take over Arsenal should Emery leave.
However, when quizzed as to why Rodgers would leave Leicester for the Gunners, Merson embarked on a stunning rant.
Whilst he conceded that Leicester are a better side at the moment, he insisted that the size of Arsenal would be too much for Rodgers to turn down.
Merson told Sky Sports Soccer Saturday: "It's Arsenal. When Arsenal go away next season, they will be going to America or China or Australia. This is still one of the biggest clubs in the world of football.
"Where are Leicester going? Hinckley? They're not world-wide. You go to South Africa, you go to China, maybe China is different.
"Who is going to have the biggest turnover? That's like saying Leicester are a bigger club than Man United. They're better than Man United.
"I'm just saying if you want to be a manager of a football team, it is a movement up. Let's be honest, Arsenal are a bigger club than Leicester City.
"Leicester have done great and they're doing great for one reason only, they have Brendan Rodgers as their manager. If Brendan Rodgers was the manager of Arsenal, they'd be where Leicester are."
