Liverpool have been told that the one player they cannot afford to lose this summer is Mohamed Salah.
Salah has 25 goals and four assists in 39 appearances this season and Paul Merson believes Jurgen Klopp cannot contemplate moving on his top scorer.
"The one player Liverpool can’t afford to lose is Salah," Merson told Sky Sports.
"If you want to kick on again, I know it’s not been a great season, but it could be if they win the Champions League.
"We’re talking about a player who plays out wide on the right who is the top-scorer in the Premier League this season – and he’s missed chances.
"These players do not come around often. For me, he’s the one you do not sell."
Links with a move away from Liverpool for the Egyptian forward have always been there, with Real Madrid and Barcelona among those who have been named as teams who might like to sign Salah.
