Paul McCartney to headline Glastonbury - but there's a catch

As Glastonbury 2019 gets ever closer, festival goers are still desperate for news ahead of the big event - and now there has been a huge announcement.

Sir Paul McCartney was at the top of many rumoured line-ups this year and plenty of fans were disappointed when the official release was made.

And now Glastonbury founder Michael Eavis has confirmed that Macca will headline - next year.

Eavis, 83, has let slip that the Beatles legend is to return to headline the 50th anniversary of the event in 2020, reports the Mirror .

To spark the rumours of Macca’s return, Eavis revealed to BBC Somerset: “Paul’s on good form at the moment” and “hopefully for the 50th. Don’t make a big thing of it though, will you?”

It looks like Glastonbury fans could be getting their wish, albeit a year later.
