Host Stephen Colbert was joined by Sir Paul McCartney on the last episode of The Late Show on Thursday (21 May).
The 33-year long franchise ended after CBS announced in 2025 they’re cancelling the show, which was "purely a financial decision against a challenging backdrop in late night."
Sir Paul and Stephen reminisced about the past appearances at New York's Ed Sullivan Theater by The Beatles, 62 years ago.
“Is that here?” Colbert asked, holding up a framed photograph of The Beatles performing in the very same studio.
“Right here,” Sir Paul responded.
