Paul McCartney ends decades-long Apple feud with anniversary performance

  • Paul McCartney is reportedly set to perform at Apple's headquarters in Cupertino, California, to celebrate the tech giant's 50th anniversary.
  • The 83-year-old musician's appearance for staff at Apple Park marks a significant turnaround, given his decades-long legal disputes with the company over The Beatles' record label, Apple Corps.
  • Apple Corps, owned by McCartney, Ringo Starr, and the estates of John Lennon and George Harrison, previously sued Apple Computer twice over trademark and music rights, with the dispute finally settled in 2007.
  • Just prior to the Apple gig, McCartney played two intimate, star-studded shows in Los Angeles, attended by celebrities including Taylor Swift, Billie Eilish, and his former bandmate Ringo Starr.
  • These recent performances are linked to the upcoming release of McCartney's new album, 'The Boys of Dungeons of Lane,' scheduled for 29 May.
