President Donald Trump's former campaign manager - Paul Manafort - and his associate Rick Gates have pleaded not guilty to charges including conspiracy to defraud the United State and money laundering.
The charges were filed in connection with a probe looking into Russian interference in the 2016 US presidential election, and potential connections between Russia and the Trump campaign.
Mr Manafort and Mr Gates appeared in federal district court in Washington after turning themselves into authorities earlier Monday.
The Special Counsel has asked for bail to be set at $10m for Mr Manafort and $5m for Mr Gates - also asking for home confinement for both.
