Almost half of all bets on the next Celtic manager have been placed on Paul Lambert in the last 24 hours.
The former Celtic captain quit as Ipswich manager on Sunday night and has now been heavily linked with a return to his old club.
And it has been revealed that 47 per cent of all bets have been placed on Lambert to replace Neil Lennon in the Hoops hotseat.
It would be a sensational return to his old side if it was to come off, with the odds of it happening dropping as low as 4/1 with some bookies, namely Irish company BoyleSports.
Betting experts Oddschecker revealed details of the amount of bets and his odds have tumbled from as high as 33/1 to just 5/1 wih Paddy Power and a lot of bets are being placed on him.
Manchester City coach Enzo Maresca is the current favourite for the role, with Steve Clarke also included in the bookies' list to take over at Celtic Park.
Current caretaker John Kennedy is available at 9/2 while fan favourite Eddie Howe is also 5/1.
Lambert had all but ruled himself out of the job last week, when he said: "I played for eight years, but I left the Glasgow scene a long time ago.
"That's not my life anymore. I don't want to tarnish the good feelings I have with the Celtic fans. We won a hell of a lot, stopping Rangers winning ten in a row in 1998. That was an incredible achievement.
"Maybe I'll go back as a fan, that's all I can say.
