In 2013, the ABC screened Paul Keating – The Interviews, the result of a series of discussions between journalist Kerry O’Brien and the former prime minister. Two years later, O’Brien has built on those conversations to write Keating, a comprehensive book on the politician’s impact on Australian public life.
The pair come together to discuss Keating’s life and his legacy in Australia including the floating of the dollar, the deregulation of the banking system, and the ousting of a sitting prime minister.
