Paul Hollywood 'writes stern note to son's teacher after they marked his quiche a 6/10'

Viewers of the Great British Bake Off will know that Paul Hollywood can be hard to please, which is why when he gives something a nine out of 10, he means it's a nine out of 10.

According to reports, when his son was apparently awarded a mere six out of 10 for a quiche he made at school, the GBBO judge did not take it lying down. Taking matters into his own hands, Hollywood apparently wrote a note to the teacher stating that, in his expert opinion, the savoury treat deserved a nine.

“I sent him into school the next day with a note that said, ‘How dare you give my son such a low mark. His quiche was worth at least a nine out of 10!”, he reportedly said.

However, the 50-year-old has now replied to fans on Twitter dismissing the reports as "rubbish" and "a joke".

Recently, Hollywood said his teenage son Josh can also make a loaf of bread and that he got emotional recently when his son asked to bake with him instead of play on his XBox.

“I normally say to him, What do you want to do? “Do you want to go-karting, do you want to go shopping, do you want to play on the Xbox, do you want to go kick a ball around?,” he told Digital Spy. “And he’s a teenager so he’ll normally go, ‘I want to play on the Xbox’. But recently he said, ‘Dad, I want to bake with you.’ I got a bit emotional about it if I’m honest."
