Paul George was heavily booed by Lakers fans at Bellator 228 in Los Angeles

Paul George is back in his hometown, as he’ll soon kick off his first season with the Los Angeles Clippers.

Lakers fans once hoped that George would come play for them but instead George will be teaming up with Kawhi Leonard with the Clippers, who are now title contenders after a big offseason.

Basketball in Los Angeles is going to be pretty great this year, as the Lakers made a few big moves of their own.

LA is still a Lakers town even despite how bad they have been recently – their last playoff win was over the KD/Westbrook/Harden Thunder.

George was reminded of that Saturday night when he was booed at Bellator 228, which was held at The Forum in Los Angeles.

George was able to shake it off and wink at the camera:

It’s going to be a fun year in LA.
