Paul George underwent successful surgery on left shoulder

Just over a month ago, Oklahoma City Thunder forward Paul George underwent rotator cuff surgery on his right shoulder to repair a partially torn tendon. The candidate for both 2019 MVP and Defensive Player of the Year suffered the injury back on February 26 against the Denver Nuggets and reaggravated it again on April 9 against the Houston Rockets.

The thought was George was also have something done for his left shoulder to address a small tear in his labrum. According to multiple reports, a Thunder spokesperson announced on Tuesday George underwent the surgery on the labrum in his left shoulder and it was successful.

When George had the rotator cuff surgery done on May 7, no firm timetable for his return was set. He was expected to miss the start of training camp and it appears that will still be the case, as the Thunder intend to reevaluate his situation on at the start of camp.
