The Oklahoma City Thunder have a chance to claim the sixth seed in the Western Conference on Wednesday with a win against the Milwaukee Bucks.
The team will be locked in to try to make it happen.
Just two months ago, the Thunder seemed destined for a top-three seed in the playoffs. After some inconsistent play since that point, the Thunder are just hoping to avoid falling below sixth place.
After winning four straight games, the Thunder can clinch sixth place in the conference with a win against the Bucks. In that scenario, OKC would avoid seeing the Golden State Warriors in the first round of the playoffs.
The final standings are far from being set as the Thunder could still end up anywhere from sixth to eighth. While some teams are electing to rest players ahead of the postseason, Paul George says the Thunder are looking to finish off the season strong with a win.

The Thunder can still end up in sixth place with a loss on Wednesday but the Bucks are expected to rest Giannis Antetokounmpo and Brook Lopez during the game so OKC figures to have a good chance to win.
While multiple players on the Thunder have stated the team is not concerned with playoff seeding, a win on Wednesday will assure the team does not face the Warriors to open the playoffs.
That alone should be plenty to play for …
