Paul George says Wade is one of the ‘most creative players’ in the NBA

Paul George and Dwyane Wade have become good friends over the years. The two swapped jerseys in Miami last month and had some rather nice things to say about each other.

On Monday night, Wade will play his final game in Oklahoma City as the Thunder and Miami Heat meet for the last time this season. Wade may not have been well liked once upon a time in OKC but there is no denying his impact on the game.

As the future Hall of Famer plays his final games in the NBA, George reflected on what Wade has meant to the NBA over the course of his 16-year career.

I think just what D-Wade has been in this league I think is just one of the best performers, most creative players I think in our era right now. His creativity with the Eurostep, with his up-and-unders, I think he is one of the best minds in basketball.

While the two are certainly close off of the court, the game itself figures to be important for Wade and the Heat. They are currently in eighth place in the Eastern Conference, just one game up on the Orlando Magic in the playoff hunt.

Meanwhile, the Thunder fell to fifth place in the Western Conference following a 110-88 loss to the Golden State Warriors on Saturday night.

As Wade plays for the final time in OKC, the game will have importance to it as the Heat battle for playoff positioning. Wade knows a little something about playing important games in OKC …
