Kawhi Leonard and Paul George were officially introduced as members of the Los Angeles Clippers during a press conference in LA on Wednesday, much to the delight of team owner Steve Ballmer and all the Clippers fans in the world.
While Kawhi thanked the restaurants in Toronto for all the free food, George, who grew up in Los Angeles. surprised everyone by saying he grew up a Clippers fan.
Which is really hard to believe because he’s 29 years old and was a kid during the days when Shaq and Kobe were winning championships and the Clippers were busy being really terrible at basketball.
Still, though, George said he was all in on the Clippers… even if Kobe Bryant was his idol:
