Paul George on his reverse dunk as time expired: ‘Next question’

Paul George put the exclamation point on a 120-108 win by the Oklahoma City Thunder Friday night to take Game 3 at Chesapeake Energy Arena.

As the Thunder looked to be set to dribble out the final seconds of the game, George instead caught the ball near the top of the key, took a few dribbles and threw down a reverse, double-clutch dunk as time expired.

George finished with 22 points in the contest, and while he didn’t particularly have his best game of the series, finishing 3-of-16 from the field, it would be his dunk that had everyone talking.

Afterward, George was asked about his last-second dunk and, sitting next to Russell Westbrook at the podium, George borrowed a page from Westbrook’s book of answers.

Many took offense to the dunk in a don’t-tempt-the-basketball-gods kind of way since most teams elect to simply dribble the clock out and finish the game in a respectful manner.

However, this series has proven to be anything but respectful between these two rivals. Game 3 proved to be yet another heated affair, setting up a must-watch Game 4 on Sunday.
