Paul George now has the fifth-most 3-pointers made in a single season

Paul George helped lead the Thunder to a 132-126 win over the Minnesota Timberwolves on Sunday afternoon with 27 points, seven rebounds and six assists.

George went 8-of-22 from the field, including 4-of-13 from 3-point range. His four treys on Sunday brought his season total to 288, the fifth highest single-season total for any player in NBA history.

His 288 made 3-point field goals this season are already a career best for George, topping the 244 made field goals from last season. George is shooting 38.8 percent from beyond the arc this season.

George’s 288 3-pointers this season passed the 284 that Stephen Curry made during the 2014-15 season for fifth-most in NBA history. Only Curry and James Harden are ahead of George, according to Basketball-Reference.

With just two games left, George has a chance to eclipse 300 3-point field goals this season but will need to catch fire in those two games in order to hit that mark.

While hitting 300 this season may not happen, George will certainly be happy with finishing inside the top-five in made triples for a single season.
