Paul George declares both of his shoulders healthy

Just 16 days after Paul George underwent surgery to repair a small labrum tear in his left shoulder and less than two months after he underwent surgery to repair a partially torn tendon in his right shoulder, the Thunder All-Star wing has declared himself healthy on Twitter.

He put it simply:

When the Thunder announced his second shoulder surgery on June 11, the reports indicated he’d be re-evaluated around the start of camp.

George was named to the All-NBA First Team for the first time in his career following the 2018-19 season, during which he averaged career highs of 28 points, 8.2 rebounds and a league-high 2.2 steals per game.

But the dual shoulder injuries took their toll on George in the second half of the season, as his scoring average dropped 2.3 points per game after the All-Star break and his shooting percentage dipped from 45.3 to 40.0. His 3-point percentage also dropped from 40.6 to 33.6 in his final 21 games.
