Paul George can do Harden’s step back: ‘Ain’t no travels over here’

Paul George scored 20 points while Thunder teammate Russell Westbrook recorded 17 points as Team Giannis lost to Team LeBron 178-164 on Sunday night in the 2019 NBA All-Star Game.

The high-scoring matchup proved to be entertaining with several highlight-reel dunks, passes and shots, with an alley-oop from Stephen Curry to Giannis Antetokounmpo stealing the moment of the game.

As for the two Thunder players, George had a memorable sequence against James Harden after George hit Harden with a taste of his own medicine: his patented step-back 3-pointer.

George explained himself afterward.

[I] hit him with his (stuff). No, it’s fun, going against James. James is obviously one of the best players in our league. It’s always fun. I had to just give him a little dose of his medicine. I got that in my package, too. So ain’t no travels over here.

The play for George and Harden proved to be yet another entertaining sequence during the night as fans were surely treated a show by the best players in the world.

Harden would go on to finish with 12 points in the contest while Kevin Durant took home MVP honors after finishing with 31 points for Team LeBron.
