Paul Gascoigne is to be charged with 'racially aggravated abuse' over a joke he allegedly made in November, it has been reported.
The former England footballer, has reportedly been summoned to appear at Wolverhampton Magistrates Court on 17 June to be formally charged with the offence.
An investigation was launched after he reportedly made a comment regarding a black security guard during a Q&A show in Wolverhampton last year.
According to the Daily Mirror, Mr Gascoigne's agent, Terry Baker, has confirmed the Crown Prosecution Service is proceeding with the investigation and declined to comment further.
