Paul Gascoigne tells Man City player Phil Foden where he must improve

England legend Paul Gascoigne has pinpointed Phil Foden's area for improvement ahead of the European Championship.

Foden was named PFA Young Player of the Year last week, clinching the individual honour which Gascoigne won in 1988, and as England prepare for Sunday's game against Croatia, comparisons between the two players continue to be made.

Foden has only fuelled that talk with his recent change of hairstyle, now wearing his hair as beach blonde for this summer - just like Gascoigne did for Euro 1996 in England.

The similarities in style on the pitch are clear to see, though, both players have shown in different eras that they are technically exceptional, but where does Gascogine think Foden can improve? He's explained the Manchester City youngster needs to be more greedy.

Do you think Foden should start for England at Euro 2020? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below.

"Jack Grealish is good. I just wish he'd pull his socks up and look like a footballer! But he's always wanting the ball, which is good," Gascoigne told the Daily Mail. "Phil Foden is good, too. He's going to be hot. He just needs to be greedier. He needs to go for it.

"It was my dream to play for England. Before the 1990 World Cup, Sir Bobby Robson told me I had one game left to prove myself, and that was against the Czech Republic. So I set up three, scored one, and we won 4-2.

"I went for it. I loved playing for England. I loved every minute of it."
